Sad Day

Today is a sad day for Mommy and Daddy - two years ago today my big brother Basil went to the Bridge. Mommy still misses her cuddly, tuxie boy every day - and so do I.

This was one of his favorite sleeping spots - curled up in the sheets.

He was always very good with George.

And he was very tolerant of his Bean Cousin.

And he trained me to be the good ManCat that I am today.

A handsome fellow.

And playful too!

Basil must have been a great guy. He was very handsome, and he had great taste in hidey nap places. I'm sure he is happy at the Bridge, but I bet your momma sure does miss him.

Basil was a very handsome tuxie. It sounds like he was a wonderful guy! We are sorry that your mom and dad lost him two years ago. Our mom knows what that's like - she lost her Whiskers, the one who came before in 2006, and she still gets sad when she thinks about him sometime.

Thank you for sharing Basil with us.

Basil looks a great dude. It is nice that the beans had somecat special to train them.

Try not to be too sad, remember the good times and know he will be waiting for you all.

Basil what a cute name for a very cute guy! He looks like he was Mr. Personality with loads to spare. What a great kitty. I know your Mom misses him a lot but he is always with her right in her heart and he watches over all of you kitties to keep you safe, so every time you see a sunbeam know that Basil is right there with you sending you his warmth and love.

Basil seems like he was a wonderful cat. It is good to remember the Cats-Who-Came-Before, because they paved the way for us. Basil will live on forever in your mom and dad's hearts.

That is sad, but he is waiting patiently at the bridge and one day you will all be together again!
