ManCat Thief!

So this really cool looking package came to the house on Friday - and it was addressed to me, from the sweetest Girlfriend Cat ever, Tazo! But Mommy said she thought it might be fr Valentines, so she made me wait till Saturday. The good news is that it was totally worth the wait, look...

But I didn't even get a chance to enjoy it - look, that big brother of mine went and stole the cool fev-ver toy!

I was sad and tried to play with the cool mices, but then Mommy came to the rescue and yelled at Jake and gave me back my toy! Yay Mommy!!!!! (Though I expect that Jake will try to steal it again really soon.)

Thanks again Tazo!

Fantastic Friends

We FINALLY got Mommy to help us take a picture of all of wonderful Holiday cards from all our Pawesome Kitty Friends!

Thank you all, they were wonderful and getting them made every day special. It was a hard holiday for us, since our Granddaddy passed - so each and every card was a lovely reminder that the holidays are a time to treasure our friends.

The only bad part is that we did not get the most cards this year. We did get more cards than Mommy and Daddy, but Georgie got more from her Dogs With Blogs friends! The final score was 'Beins 20, Kitties 30, Georgie 45 - but we are laying claim to 2 of George's cards since they were our friends too and one of Mommy's cards 'cause it was from Uncle Mo. So we're saying we have 33 cards as our final total!

Also, please take a moment and send some kind thoughts to our friend Meep's family. Meep is leaving for the Bridge today, so they are furry sad, as are we.

Purrs to you all dear friends we are thankful for each and every one of you,
Pearl, Bert and Jake

Make-Up Monday

Well, there is some good news about Mommy and Daddy leaving for a week - they do tons of stuff to try and make up for it!

When they first got home we got tons of treats and pets. And then on Saturday we got brushing, we got to go outside and play around, and then we got to help un-pack the suitcases (which is way more fun than when they pack :-).

The very best thing is that tons of cards and packages came for us and we got to open all of them on Sunday! Just look at this stack of boxes - all for us!

Here's Pearl's Secret Paws from Scooby, Shaggy and Scout. Just look at this great stuff, Mommy didn't even have time to get the card off the pink feather before we attacked it!

And then we all wanted to help out with Bert's package from Wally and Ernie of the Island Cats there was a nip cigar and all of us wanted to get a hold of!

And not to be out done, Spirit & Ezra sent a great bunch of toys to Jake. With a personalized shipping box! Did you notice the gianormous bowl of nip?!

And last but not least, Jake and George got a package from Queen Snickers and Renna. Under this spiffy wrapping paper were treats for George and more toys for us (well, really Jake, but Mommy said we had to share)!

So between all the making up and the fabulous house trashing party - we think we're about ready to forgive Mommy and Daddy (though we may not tell them that)!

Mad ManCat Monday

No matter how much of the suitcase I tried to take up they still left! Can you believe that?!

And now there's so much snow that the pre-teen beans are having trouble getting to feed me. They made it just in time, but sheesh - the things an abandoned ManCat has to put up with!

So to show our displeasure, we're going to be throwing a House Trashing Party Starting RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! So come on in and trash away, the blinds are perfect for climbing and this sofa over here needs some extra claw marks! And when we're all done, we can all head over to the Hotties' Chrissymouse Eve Party on the CB!

We'll have a great time and make Mommy and Daddy jealous that they had to go to Catifornia!

Santa Paws

We're doing our best to get ready for Santa Paws!

We've made our lists and mailed them off to the north pole.
We're going to help Mommy get all the decorations up this weekend.
We are due for a bunch of snow, so maybe it will be a white Christmas (which we think Santa would prefer).
We're all signed up for Secret Paws, and we've already sent Mommy out shopping.
And best of all, we're almost done helping Mommy get our Holiday cards made.

Here's the important part - Mommy needs a final tally. So are there any other kitties that want to trade cards with us? That's right, it's your (almost) last chance to get a super-duper handmade PB&J card! So if you're interested, just click on the our email link on the right side of our bloggie - or you can click here and send us your information so we can swap cards.

Manners on Monday

Mommy calls me Mr. Manners - and for good reason as you can see! I sat ever so patiently in my chair at Thanksgiving dinner, waiting for a little taste of turkey.

Unlike some kitties in my family!

- Bert

P.S. Bert's just jealous because I managed to steal this...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just know there's some turkey up there!

We're wishing all of our friends and their families a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Thinking on Thursday

We're thinking that our friend Tesla might be on to something - Mommies might be stoopid! But we think there might be a way for her to make it up (so make sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom!).

Here's why our Mommy is stoopid. Our friends have given us all these cool awards lately, but Mommy didn't remember! She had to go back through the blogs just to find them (at least she was smart enough to do that). And we're fairly certain she missed one or two. But here are the ones we could find...

From our lovely friend Princess Isis:

And she also gave Pearl this award (like it won't make her head any bigger):

And then the ever so clever Milo gave us this:
Okay, so we're not sure what all the rules are, so we're gonna make them up and give them to anykitty we want to!

So the Butterfly Award goes to one and all - we're pretty sure that most kitties have it, but if you don't, you really should!

The Princess Award goes to the finest princesses we know: the honest to goodness royal Princess Pearl, Tesla ('cause she's going to be a princess for Halloween), the lovely Queen Snickers (and we're so happy she's back - just in time for a big birthday bash on Friday) and her sisters Empress and Renna, Josie McKitten-Cat (she may only be a princess in her Daddy's stories, but she's always a princess to us), and the newest little Princess on the block the Little Imp that is invading Chance's house.

And finally the I Love Your Blog award goes to the very pawesome Karen Jo, all those cool Island Cats, our super friends at the Manx Mnews, and the lovely Kellie the Orange Cat!

Alrighty, on to the good news - the part where Mommy makes it up to us!

All the other kitties are getting their Holiday card lists together, and we traded cards last year, and we really enjoyed it. Last year, Mommy made all the cards, and she wants to do it again, but she said that this year we need a "tail count" (so that she can figure out how much stuff to get). So if you'd like to swap holiday cards with us you can email us at pbandjkittes AT gmail DOT com (or you can click on our email link up near the top of the page).

What is THIS?

Are you kidding me? What is this thing doing out again? Who is going WHERE?!

"I'm sorry Jake, but I'm only going to go away for the weekend and Daddy will be here with you- I'll be back before you know it. I'm just running down to Cleveland for a couple of days."

But you know that Daddy never remembers to feed us on time, and he never gives us treats at bed time!

"I'll remind him, and I really will be back on Sunday. We're almost done with all the traveling."

ALMOST?! What do you mean almost?

"Well there's one last little trip next weekend, just for a few days. Then we'll be home for a good long while - I promise."

Well, Mommy I'm very disappointed with you - you're just lucky I like Daddy more. And you'd better be sure to wave to all our friends when you go by - there's the Furry Kids, the Island Cats, Parker, Mr. Hendrix and Riley & Tiki - don't forget!

And thank goodness our wonderful Swap n' Tails package from Samantha and Mr. Tigger arrived to keep us busy! And they sent a neat-o toy for Georgie too!

We hope everykitty has a better fourth of July than we are!

Tuxie, Tortie and Tabby Tuesday

Yay - we finally got to go outside again! It's been a while, but the weather was so nice for Memorial Day that Mommy and Daddy said that we could go back out!

It was super - we spent all day outside, checking out the new plants that Mommy and Daddy got, the bird feathers on the ground and the new mole hole in the garden!

Thursday Thirteen #14 - A Holiday We Like

It's not that we don't like holidays, but there are a number of them that we don't like. Halloween means that we can't go out and there are people at our door all night long. Christmas and Hanukkah means that Mommy and Daddy go away for a week. And Fourth of July is way too loud for us!

Now Easter, that's a holiday we can get behind - and here's why:

1. Easter means spring is here.
2. Easter is always on a Sunday, which means Mommy and Daddy are home.
3. Easter means eggs!
4. Easter is Mommy's favorite holiday
5. Easter means that it's warmer out so we can go outside.
6. There's lots of chicks around (well, they are usually candy but they're still chick-hens!).
7. Easter is usually just Mommy and Daddy, so it's a nice family day.
8. Easter means HAM or sometimes Lamb!!!!
9. Usually we get new toys for Easter - maybe from the Easter Bunny?
10. Easter is always on a Sunday, which means a big breakfast and Mommy and Daddy always share.
11. Easter means that Mommy and Daddy have dinner in the dining room, so we can try to get on the table.
12. Apparently there's an Easter Bunny, we haven't seen him, but we'd like to find out more about him!
13. Did we mention the HAM!

Oh, and Happy First Day of Spring to everykitty!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

St. Patrick's is always one of our Mommy and Daddy's favorite holidays - because it's just plain old fun! So we've already decked out our bloggie in the colors of Ireland and we're ready to celebrate!

While Mommy and Daddy go to work, we'll be heading to a bunch of parties:

First off there's Tybalt's Birthday party at the M-Cat's club.

After that we're off to Diamond's Black Cat Pub.

Then we'll top off the afternoon with the Captain Jack's Birthday party aboard the Black Furrball!

And don't forget Sassy, Momo, Karl and Ruis and everyone's (Momo-dog, Charybdis, Charlie, Mrs. Oz, Roscoe, Socks, Opus, Asta, Stanley, Emil, Scylla) trip to Dublin.

We'll be taking our sweeties and painting the Cat Blogosphere Green! And hopefully we'll wrap it all up in time to get home and have corned beef and cabbage with Mommy and Daddy when they get home!

See you all there!

Oh What A Day!

Wowee! It's been quite a day around here! First, Mommy and Daddy got home last night. Second, George didn't come home from the kennel till this morning, so we got some serious Mommy and Daddy time. Third, we got a bunch of presents from our Nana and Papa - three bags of greenies and a bunch of fuzzy mice. Fourth, Mommy and Daddy let us open our stockings from Santa, that was really great! We got a bunch of cool stuff, fuzzy mice, treats, a new laser pointer and a couple of long feather toys. Fifth, and most importantly we got to open our Secret Paws (it came while Mommy and Daddy were away - and we waited so patiently to open it)!

Thank you sooooooooooo very much Nymphadora Tonks of the Fluffy Tribe! We love it - and what an amazing package! We got a couple of catnip toys, a huge bag of Catnip, a fuzzy mouse, a pretty pink ball (which has already been lost under the sofa once) and the best part - beautiful hand made blankets for each of us!!! Here are some of the pictures...

Here's George opening her stocking and her present from Nana and Papa.

Here's Pearl checking out her treats from Santa.

Jake enjoys his new blankie from Nymphadora.

Here's Bert checking out the haul of presents!

Here's all our wonderful Secret Paws presents (and Pearl, she won't stay off the new blankets!)

So, now we're all just relaxing at home, George is tired from having such a good time at the kennel, and we're sleeping off the nip that we got earlier. Mommy and Daddy are going out later, so it will be a quiet evening for us. Well, except for Pearl - she's heading out on her New Year's date with Dante (she's been preening all day!).

We hope every kitty has a wonderful New Year's celebration!

Thursday Thirteen #7 - Merry Christmas

Since we have friends all over the globe now (who'd have thunk - we don't even know the kitty next door all that well!) we thought we'd do a Thursday Thirteen of different ways to say "Merry Christmas"!

  1. Mele Kalikimaka (Hawaiian)
  2. Joyeux Noël (French)
  3. Fröhliche Weihnachten (German)
  4. Natale allegro (Italian)
  5. Веселое Рождество (Russian)
  6. Feliz Navidad (Spanish)
  7. Happy Christmas (United Kingdom)
  8. Christmas Alegre (Portuguese)
  9. Καλά Χριστούγεννα (Greek)
  10. Vrolijke Kerstmis (Dutch)
  11. Nollaig shona (Irish Gaelic)
  12. shèng dàn kuài lè (Chinese)
  13. felix dies Nativitatis (Latin)

We know about Mele Kalikimaka, because that's what our Mommy says all the time. But it's not because we're from Hawaii, it's because one of her favorite Christmas Carols is "Mele Kalikimaka" by Jimmy Buffet (or Bing Crosby).

Our Mommy and Daddy are leaving soon to go to California for Christmas, so we won't be around to comment as much. Maybe we'll teleport over to a few of our friends to spend the holidays!

Merry Christmouse and Happy New Year to everykitty!

Mail Call Monday

Such a busy weekend! Mommy and Daddy had to work a lot Friday night an then again all day and night on Saturday, so we didn't get much time with them until Sunday. On Sunday we woke up and there was nothing but white stuff outside - Mommy and Daddy called it a blizzard. Here's a picture of me with some snow in my furs!

Sunday was also special because we finally got Mommy and Daddy to open all the Christmas cards that we'd gotten, but they hadn't opened for us yet (we really need to figure out a way to get some thumbs)! On Friday we got cards from Abby and the gang over at Manx Mnews, Tybalt, Holly and Ivy and Perfectly Parker. On Saturday we got cards from The Furry Kids, all the McKitten Cats, and from far away a card from Fat Eric all the way from London! Oh it was so exciting - we've never gotten mail before and now we've got tons!

And for those of you keeping count, we've gotten 7 cards, Mommy and Daddy have only gotten 2 (well there are 2 more, but they were from business people, so it kind of doesn't count - but even if you count them we've still got them beat!) - ha ha!

Thursday Thirteen #6 - Lists for Santa

Since it's getting close to time for Santa Paws, we figured that we would do our Christmas Lists for the Thursday Thirteen. At first we thought we could all do a separate list, but Mommy says since we all ask for the same thing that we should just do one, we did figure we would share with George though - cause other wise how will Santa Paws know what she wants?

  1. A New Kitty Tree - Bert

  2. Another Kitty Kup - Bert

  3. New Feather Ball Toys - Jake

  4. A Big Bag of Rattly Fuzzy Mice - Pearl

  5. A Gizzy Quilt - Pearl, Bert and Jake

  6. Greenies and Temptations - Pearl, Bert and Jake

  7. Lots of Firewood - Pearl

  8. A New Baby Gate (to keep George out of our room) - Jake

  9. A Water Fountain - Bert and Jake

  10. A Kitty Door (so I can go out whenever I want) - Pearl

  11. Bacon, Turkey, Ham and Chicken - Pearl, Bert, Jake and George

  12. A Heated Bed - George

  13. A Really big Rawhide Bone - George

We'll keep our paws crossed that Santa Paws gets our list and then gets everything on it! We'll be good, well, we'll try anyway.

Pearl, Bert, Jake and George

Thanks Kimo & Sabi

Waaahhhooooo! Our first piece of mail - ever! And it's from Kimo and Sabi (we know they might not be reading, but we want to thank them anyway)!

Thanks guys - we all sniffed it an Jake gave it the bitey for good measure. We're so excited to see what other goodies come in the mail. We never knew Mail could be so fun.

- Pearl, Bert and Jake

p.s. Mommy apologizes for the quality of the picture, but she only had her phone handy.
