We'll sight see around Paris, see the Louvre, purrhaps the the Arc de Triomphe...

We'll stop for a late lunch at a romantic Parisian Cafe:

Then we'll drive down to Versailles and tour the beautiful garden and grounds (maybe do a little hunting).

Finally Friday #6

Happy Birthday to my Darling ManCat Dante!

Isn't he a handsome three year old hunk of Ginger Love? I'm so excited for his big day! Everyone here, including George, is excited for Dante's super Pirate Birthday Party! So let's all go on over there...

no don't read any more here...

it's just bad news...

alright, we warned you...

We just found out that Mommy and Daddy are leaving us - again! And this time they aren't even coming home to see us and feed us during the day - they are just leaving. They're going to send those teen beans to feed us and check on us twice a day, but it's just not the same.

They are picking our Grandma up at the airport and then they are going to drive to Pennsylvania on a road trip to see all the cool historical sites. They are pretty excited, we are not.

There is a little bit of good news, George is going to the kennel while they are gone - so we'll get a little kitty only time. And when Mommy and Daddy get back they'll have our Grandma with them (and she always brings us treats!) - not to mention that it's a whole 'nother person to sleep on at night.

We're going to try the auto posting from blogger - so hopefully you'll still be able to hang out here, but we probably won't be around to comment much. So we'll see you all when they get back and we get our typist back!

Any kitty that would like to come on over and play while they are gone is more than welcome!

Practical Thursday Part Five

Time for another installment of Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats! This week we have a dangerous duo, we hope you enjoy their adventures!

(Also please don't forget that today is George's Third Birthday! We hijacked her bloggie and have a super great party going on over there!)

MUNGOJERRIE AND RUMPELTEAZER
Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer were a very notorious couple
      of cats.
As knockabout clowns, quick-change comedians, tight-rope
      walkers and acrobats
They had an extensive reputation. They made their home in
      Victoria Grove-
That was merely their centre of operation, for they were
      incurably given to rove.
They were very well known in Cornwall Gardens, in
Launceston Place and in Kensington Square -
They had really a little more reputation than a couple of cats
      can very well bear.

If the area window was found ajar
And the basement looked like a field of war,
If a tile or two came loose on the roof,
Which presently ceased to be waterproof,
If the drawers were pulled out from the bedroom chests,
And you couldn't find one of your winter vests,
Or after supper one of the girls
      Suddenly missed her Woolworth pearls:
Then the family would say : 'It's that horrible cat!
It was Mungojerrie-or Rumpelteazer!'-And most of the time
      they left it at that.

Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer has a very unusual gift of the
      gab.
They were highly efficient cat-burglars as well, and remarkably
      smart as a smash-and-grab.
They made their home in Victoria Grove. They had no regular
      occupation.
They were plausible fellows, and like to engage a friendly
      policeman in conversation.

When the family assembled for Sunday dinner,
With their minds made up that they wouldn't get thinner
On Argentine joint, potatoes and greens,
And the cook would appear from behind the scenes
And say in a voice that was broken with sorrow:
'I'm afraid you must wait and have dinner tomorrow!
For the joint has gone from the oven-like that !'
Then the family would say : 'It's that horrible cat!
It was Mungojerrie-or Rumpelteazer!'-And most of the time
      they left it at that.

Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer had a wonderful way of
      working together.
And some of the time you would say it was luck, and some of
the time you would say it was weather.
They would go through the house like a hurricane, and no
sober person could take his oath
Was it Mungojerrie-or Rumpelteazer? or could you have
sworn that it mightn't be both?

And when you heard a dining-room smash
Or up from the pantry there came a loud crash
Or down from the library came a loud ping
From a vase which was commonly said to be Ming-
Then the family would say:'Now which was which cat?
It was Mungojerrie! AND Rumpelteazer!'-And there's nothing
at all to be done about that!

Thank You Kitties!

All you kitties made my day! So many kitties stopped by to wish me a happy birthday, the Hotties brought over some nip cookies, the Crew brought over some tuna juice and nip - it turned into quite the party!

Then the spectacular Maggy, Zoey and Zoolatry Human made me this super birthday greeting!

And then my wonderful LadyCat Queen Snickers sent me this!

(Wow-wee, a beautiful kitty popping out of a fish cake - I nearly fainted!)

And then the beautiful Queen Snickers and I hit the blogosphere and went to Gretchen's Tea Party along with all the other birthday and gotcha day parties (did you know that yesterday was Willow's Gotcha Day?). I think we make a pretty good looking couple!

And as it turns out, Mommy didn't forget my birthday! It turns out that she had all the presents in the cabinet where I wouldn't find them - sneaky Mommy. She also came through on the extra stinky goodness for dinner too :-)

The best part was a special treat - Fresh Nip (if you guys haven't tried this stuff you you really gotta)!!!! This is one of the few pictures that Mommy got before I tried to steal it away and drag it down the hall (seriously this is good stuff)!

I also got some new feather-butt toys and temptations, but I'm all about that nip (Mommy is going to have to hid that if she wants to plant it in the ground)! So I guess it was a good birthday after all!

Knock Knock

Hey Pearl, I've got a joke for you!

Well, I'm kind of busy Bert, but ok, what is it?

Knock, Knock!

Who's there?

Puss!

Puss who?

Puss-ibly you could climb that tree?!

Why yes Bert, I can!

Hey Mom, I've got a knock knock joke for you.

Oh yeah, Jake - what is it?

Knock, knock.

Who's there?

Jake

Jake, who?

Jake, your cat who's 6th birthday is today and you forgot all about it!!!!!!!!

Oh Jake, I didn't forget your birthday! It's just that we agreed that you guys were going to post a knock knock joke for Camie's Kitties' Fund Raiser!

All right Mom, but there had better be some presents and serious stinky goodness later on.

There will be big guy, don't worry.

Well, I'm just going to sulk over here till I get some cool birthday stuff - harumph!

It looks like other kitties (Gandalf & Grayson, Auntie Stinkie, Gretchen and Tiger Lily & Ruckus) are having a better birthday than me - please stop by their bloggies to wish them a super Happy Birthday!

Big Weekend!

It's a big weekend around here, starting today!

Today is George Washington's birthday - and we love to celebrate it! Yep, that first president of ours was something special.

All right, not really, we love to celebrate Bert's birthday!!!! He's 2 today!!! So have a slice of Nip Birthday cake and a Niptini, maybe stay and play awhile!

Bert's Birthday

So we'll be celebrating all Friday with him, but that doesn't really add up to a whole weekend - so we'll have to think about something else to celebrate...

The wonderful Miss Peach gave us this wonderful award!

We wanted to pass it on to the Cat Blogosphere, the Tuxedo Gang Hideout, the Gorgeous Gingers and the Coats of Many Colors (and the soon to be formed Tough A** Torties!) - all of the wonderful, supportive groups of the kitty blogging world that got us all started in the first place. We'd also like to pass it on to Captain Jack and Sir Dante (not just because Dante happens to be the most dashing Pirate Cat) - we started blogging about the same time, they were one of our first blogging friends and we've been "blogging buddies" ever since!

Ok - still not enough? How about the fact that it's our Mommy's birthday on Saturday - and she's gonna be...

Ok now kitties, we don't need to tell everyone how old I'm going to be
.

All right we'll just say she hasn't hit the big 40 yet, but she keeps getting closer :-). Daddy is taking her out for an all day adventure, we're not sure what's going to happen, but they are both pretty excited about it.

Is that enough? That seems like a lot to celebrate, but we'll do our best!

Happy Weekend Everykitty!
