In honor of her, we thought we'd share the story of how we came to know Storm.
We found Storm long before we started blogging (before we even realized how many kitties did it). Mommy was searching on lymphoma in cats, and up popped Storm's bloggie. You see, Mommy and Daddy had recently sent the first P and B (Purdy and Basil) of PB&J across the Rainbow Bridge because they had lymphoma. Mommy was worried that she hadn't done enough and had a terrible case of the "if only"s. She though perhaps there were other kitty guardians that had gone through the same thing and she could learn more.
Mommy was so happy to find the story of a kitty that was fighting, and winning against that evil disease. It made her feel better to know that even if Purdy and Basil couldn't win their fight at least there were kitties that were. Mommy rarely commented on Storm's bloggie, mostly she just read and felt better.
Then we started blogging, and we would visit Storm every once and a while - just to check in. It seems that we didn't visit very regularly till she got sick again, and even then it was hard, because Mommy would get all leaky eyed thinking of what Storm's Meowmies were going through. It brought back all sorts of horrible feelings for Mommy, but she knew how important it was for Storm to have lots of love and encouragement.
Sweet Storm, we know that one day we too will cross the Bridge and we will find you there. So we will not say good-bye, simply farewell for now Furry Fighter.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.
We though we would share some pictures of our angel kitties, Purdy and Basil. There isn't a day that goes by that Mommy doesn't think about and miss them.

That is such a touching story. We are glad ya knew Storm afore she started bloggin.
This was such a lovely post, PB&J! It is so Bittersweet. Everyone who loves animals has bittersweet stories about them. Farewell Sweet Stormie, til we meet again.
Mom wants you to know she was only kidding about her Peke comment, she wasn't actually offended by the song, it's just a song with lots of Catitude! There is no need to apologise! None at all!
My mom's eyes are soo leaky after reading that touching story. Purdy and Basil look like they will be good friends to Stormie!
What a wonderful tribute to one of the bravest cats we've ever known.

Oh, dear, here we go, leaking again. This must be an awfully hard day for you, having lost 2 kitties to lymphoma before you met Storm.
We send purrs and tail wags,
Our hears go out to you as they do Stormie's family. We didn't know Storm but have heard stories of her diligent battle and that legacy will be remembered. Momma's angel woofie fought against cancer many years ago, beat it once, but not the second time. Times like this do hit close to your heart. ~supportive cuddles to my Jake Queen Snickers
Very beautiful tribute to Stormie and the P & B who came before. (((hugs))) to your mom.
Bert, I'm coming over to cuddle with you and your mom.
Love,
Tazo
I just know Purdy and Basil were there to greet sweet Stormie at the Rainbow Bridge.
We are sad today too. Pearl, I am coming over to snuggle and hold paws. I think we both could use it today!! - Dante
Wonderful tribute to Stormiekins.
We do love her.
This was such a lovely post.
So many of us now know the pain and sadness of letting our baby go. I know that we will always miss Caesar.
Purrrs to all of you
That was a beautiful post you made for Stormie.
What a truly special and touching post about Storm. She touched so many on such personal levels. We'll all miss her and remember her so well.

It seems like the cat blogosphere goes in cycles; we lose several kitties in a short time, and that makes it hurt all the more. But still, we're all the better for having gotten to know them, and we'll get to see them again when it's our turn to go to the Bridge.
This must be really hard for your People...but they gotta know they did what they could, and there's a special kind of grace in letting go. Your people had that grace, and Storm's people had that grace.
What a beautiful story and tribute to Stormie, Purdy & Basil. We are sure they already met each other, and also our sisters and brothers, Miral, Anastasia, Ralph and Wiebe.
Hugs from us,
Karl & Ruis
That is such a lovely tribute to Sweet Stormie and what a touching story!
There are a lot of eyes leaking in the Blogosphere today! Willow and I are so sad that Storm had to go to the Bridge but we are so glad that she isn't in pain anymore.
We are sure that the three cats who came before us were right there to greet Storm today.
