Fundraising Friday

Now we try not to be too picky when it comes to the stinky goodness, but we don't love beef flavor and we don't love the gravy kinds. So sometimes we turn our noses up at a new flavor and Mommy puts the extra cans in the pantry. We were never sure what she planned to do with them since we wouldn't eat them.

Then we told her about the fundraising that Artsy Cat was doing, and she remembered that she needed to donate all that good stuff to the shelter. So on Wednesday she took all of the stinky goodness from the pantry along with a bunch of food she picked-up at the market to the Blue Water Area Humane Society for all the homeless kitties - so that they would have a nice Thanksgiving.

While she was there she talked to a nice lady about volunteering, so now she's going to help them find homes for all those homeless kitties and woofies. We know that she'd give money if she could, but giving her time is pretty great - we're proud of her.

Well, just as long as she doesn't bring one of those kitties or woofies home.

What a wonderful, caring Mommy you have! Be careful, though ... every time our mom goes to a shelter or the Rescue Farm or even sees a kitty outside ... she always wants to bring them home!

Our Mommy has threatened to volunteer at an animal shelter but knows she would wind up bringing way too many home! We are proud of your Mommy for helping out. Places like that can always use food for poor homeless kitties!

Wow, that's human activity to be proud of.

I change my mind about canned food all the time; keeps her on her toes. Anything I won't eat, Victor will. If you really want to snub her sometime, take one whiff and run, growling, from the room. Muwahahahaha

Oh sure, not efrykitty likes the same brands and flavors of food. So when ya have something somekitty would like, pass it on. Nutthin should go to waste when there are hungry kitties around.

We're thinking of bringin the dozen cans of Priority to a shelter in hopes that some kitties will like it. WE DONT. And, to be fair, we'll add some cans of 9-Lives that we do like.

Well, ya know "fancy" is nice, but volume matters, too. The Big Thing says he would add large cans of "good stuff" cause there are more kitties at the shelter.

You have a wonderful Mom!!! That is very very nice of her to do. And giving the poor kitties stinky goodness for Thanksgiving is so nice also. I guess we blogging cats can easily forget how good a life we have! I almost never remember my old homeless days anymore...
