Mommy saw our visitor this morning, from the kitchen window (which is why the picture isn't very good - it's through the screen). Mommy said we couldn't go out unless someone was home to watch over us - but Daddy let us out this afternoon anyway. So I enjoyed my afternoon out and about - until Daddy and I saw that intruder. At which point I chased her off up the driveway!! I don't think that Fox will be back any time soon with such a tough-a** tortie around!
Daddy called Mommy to tell her the story and (after Mommy yelled at Daddy A LOT for letting me out) Mommy said that apparently I'm more of a "Dumb-A** Tortie" than a tough-a** tortie!
And I think it's safe to say that we won't be going out by ourselves much for a while.

**UPDATE** Daddy didn't give Mommy all the story till just this morning, apparently he left out the part where I stalked and chased off a Canada Goose (which as we all know are pretty big and mean). I think Mommy was way more upset about that, because the geese are always around and they are much braver than the fox. But I can not be stopped (well, except for not being let out, that'll stop me)!

Wow, what a scary visitor! Be very careful - we wouldn't want you to get hurt! Outside can be such a dangerous place, so we only go outside on our harnesses.
Oh my goodness Pearl!!!! Please be very careful! I would have been very scared if I had seen a fox in my yard! The wildest thing we've seen is a baby bunny.

Yoor either furry brave or...well, we won't say it. We useta haf a fox den two houses away and every night mom would hear da gooses going crazy cuz da fox would grab a birdie fur dinner. Den da police woofie moved in...dem foxes lefted in a hurry and so did da gooses! Mom thawt it was funny cuz da woofie doesn't chase wildlife, he's furry well trained. Just haffing him der made de all move. Mr. Raccoon is still der and so are all da skwerrels. Dey is apparently not afraid of dat woofie.
Wow, everyone is seeing wildlife! I see this fox has been around. The armadillo came back last night.....mom was so mad AGAIN!

Ooh, we nefer saw gooses onna ground, but I member Tinkerbelle (the0cat-who-came-before) tellin me she stalked and chassed a few off our front yard.
