Frustrated Friday

I'm a little frustrated today. I've been trying and trying to go out all week.


But it won't stop snowing and being super cold, so I'm not allowed out!

So I found a cool new spot to hang out - especially when there's a fire to warm up to. There's lots of good sniffs from the wood pile, the bag is pretty cozy, and it's close to the fire which is the best part. Tazo, I think there may be room enough for two here!


Well, there's room enough for two as long as it's not your brother!

Miffed Mommy Monday

So Mommy is a bit miffed! The other night some mean lady said that I was fat for a girl kitty! Mommy was very offended, since I am not a very big kitty. I mean, I weigh like 7 and a half pounds soaking wet - sometimes I look big, but it's just floof! Then the lady said that my brothers are fat - can you imagine?! Two such handsome, perfectly weighted ManCats - fat?! Sure Jake is almost 16 pounds, but he's a Maine Coon. And Bert's 11 pounds and he looks very lean and panther-y.

Then the lady said her kitten was only 5 pounds, and Mommy said "you just wait till he gets full sized!" But she was still ticked that the lady called me fat.

So how much do all you kitties weigh (if you don't mind me asking)? Was Mommy right to be hissed off?

Fierce Fighter Day

We know that this is the Week of Pearl, but when Mommy saw that Whiskers & Purrs were doing Fierce Fighter Day she said we should do this instead. She got all sentimental (emphasis on mental) and wanted to introduce you all to our brother and sister that went before - the original P and B.

and this is Basil


They both died of lymphoma, within just a few months of one another. Purdy went to the bridge in September of 2005 and Basil went in January of 2006. As much as Mommy and Daddy wanted to fight, both Purdy and Basil wanted to go to the bridge. So they let them go with as much peace and dignity as they could.

Purdy and Basil's ashes are still home with us, and there isn't a day that goes by that Mommy and Daddy don't think about them and love them.

So here's to all the ones that went before, all the ones that live in our Mommy and Daddy's hearts forever.

Week of Pearl - Thursday

8 Random Things Meme
The super Tabby Abby  and Little Catzee wanted to help with the Week of Pearl, so she tagged me for the 8 Random Things meme! The rules are:

- Each player starts with eight random fact/habits about themselves.

So here it goes:
1. I love to bunny-kick George's toys. I'm not sure if it's the doggy smell or the fact that they are bigger than any of my toys. But it's super fun!

2. Neither rain, nor snow nor dead of night keeps me from wanting to go outside! I really love my home, and I always come back, but I do love to go outside.

3. I won't let George in the dinning room - I whap her until she leaves. It's where we have our beds and our play cubes and our toy basket, so I really don't like it when she's in there.

4. When I go outside, I like to come inside every hour or so to have a snack. And when I come in I don't like to have treats, I prefer my regular crunchies.

5. I like to sleep with my tail wrapped around my Mommy's neck when I sleep behind her on the chair at night.

6. My Mommy and Daddy call me "Pumpkin Nose" - not because it's as big as a pumpkin, but because it's orange like a pumpkin. And after all, I do have very autumnal colors!

7. I don't like to sleep on the big bed, except after breakfast and only if Mommy goes back to bed. Most of the time there's too many folks there (Mommy and Daddy along with Bert and Jake - and George sleeps on the floor).

8. I love to drag my fev-ver wand around the hall and making a hunting howl like I've caught it. But when I really catch something I prefer to eat it rather than bring it home and howl about it!

What the heck is this?!


Is it the new water fountain that we've been hoping for? No? Oh right - it's the warm-water-air-blowy thing. Mommy brings these out at the end of fall, so that we don't go all static clingy! But mostly they're kind of annoying, even though they are fun to play in.

Today is Taste Test Tuesday! Yep, I have a new job - being a taste tester!


Here's me checking to make sure that the tasting fork is ok. Now, on to the important job tasting the chicken salad! I sure do like this taste-testing job.

Are you Kidding Me?!

This is the only picture taken of me this month!!! Mommy has taken tons of pictures of the boys and Georgie, but just this one of me. And then, I looked at the number of posts and Bert has 7 more posts than me and Jake has 5. Oh I know that you've heard it all before from me kitties - but what does a tortie have to do around here to get a little lovin'!?

Wednesday for Winton

Our sweet friend Winton went to the bridge Monday night. Right now, his Mommy and his brothers and sisters are all sad and missing him terribly. And we're sad too, it's hard to lose a friend even one that has battled so bravely with his illness for so long. Please take a moment to visit them and give them some purrs.

It's TUXIE Tuesday

My Daddy is soooooo silly - he doesn't realize that I'm a tuxedo kitty!


Yesterday as I ran out the door Daddy said "have a good time out there little house panther"! Apparently Daddy doesn't realize that House Panthers are all black - and I reminded him that I'm a tuxedo cat.

So then he said "all right then, have a good time mostly black cat"! Jeesh, Daddy really doesn't know anything - I'm not a Hottie! Not that I wouldn't want to be one :-)

I guess I'm gonna have to sit him down and 'splain all this stuff to him!

Oh, and we'd like to take a moment and say thank you - thank you to all our Veterans and everything that they have done for our country and others. Yep, a special thanks to all the men in green, from every nation!

Mini-Spa Monday

Mommy has been really tired lately, and feeling like she needs some time to relax. So Daddy suggested that she spend the weekend chilling out and taking care of herself.

So she did, she lit lots of candles, and had a relaxing shower, she did her nails and her toes, she sat and read a book next to the fire - she even had some time to cuddle up with us. We were having a really great weekend until Mommy decided that we should have a mini-spa day too!

We all got Mani-Pedi, we all got furminated, we all got our ears washed out and I got my teeth brushed! Man are we hissed off now - I'm not sure if there are enough temptations to get us over this on!

Finally Friday

Another busy week, Mommy hasn't had any time to help us visit, or do much of anything else. We're really looking forward to catching up with visiting our friends and we found out that it's supposed to be raining all weekend so that means lots of cuddle time too!

But for today we're going to enjoy playing in the sunbeams.

Wordy Wednesday

Since Mommy doesn't want us to call her "stoopid" again, she's helping us put up these super awards right away! (I'm telling you kitties, sometime an embarrassed Mommy is a good thing :-)

First off, we got this really cool one from our super duper friends (oh yeah, and Bert wants me to say his most beautiful and fabulous girlfriend kitty) The Furry Kids:
(They passed this on to Georgie as well - so we'll make sure that she puts it up on her bloggie too.)

And then Kilroy, one of the very coolest kitties we know, gave us these two awards!

ManCat Monday

Wow what a busy weekend! First there was the whirl wind trip to Paris for my beautiful Queen Snickers, then Dr. Tweety's big party! Boy is this ManCat tuckered out!
