Bert and I found this guy on Sunday while Mommy was "gardening" (which really means her digging around and throwing things and using words from the bad word list). So Mommy thought she'd take a picture of this toad since he was so cute. But then he jumped and Mommy screamed - really loud, so loud that Daddy came running and had to carry off our toy!
We went on our merry way - out and about in the garden, just enjoying the day. And not long after that we heard another scream! This time Mommy dug up another toad and accidentally touched it. She was so freaked out she ran into the house and finished "gardening" for the day - hee hee hee!!!

we got way too many of them (tropical rain brings 'em out) and they do get in, to Maggy & Zoey's joy and Mom's distress.
There would be much screaming here, too. I think it would be kinda fun to play with that guy.

Your mom sounds like my mom. She hates all of the things in the dirt that come out when she tries to dig.

Hahahahahahaha! We used to have toads in Portales because we had a pond but I never saw Mom scream at one. That would have been funny too! We have not seen any here yet.

That is something that would scare us at first, but when we would realize it was a toad then we would be ok. The things you find gardening sometimes. Thanks for sharing the great story. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
