Friends on Friday

Look at all the lovely things that Mr. Hendrix sent us for our November Swap 'n Tails!

The theme for the month was brown (which our Mommy completely forgot, duh Mommy) - and everything matches perfectly! Of course Mommy is very excited about the little snowman, she just loves snowmen - but we were excited about the toys.

In fact I didn't even wait for her to finish the pictures - I stole these two off the table before she could take anymore pictures (hee, hee, hee)!

Thanks Hendrix!

Frustrated Friday

I'm a little frustrated today. I've been trying and trying to go out all week.

But it won't stop snowing and being super cold, so I'm not allowed out!

Meow Like a Pirate Day

Ahoy, me Hearties! We have signed aboard the Black Furrball as deckhands for today's mission! So we are off to join our shipmates and set sail.

If you're worried that there's not enough room aboard the Black Furrball, George has readied her sail boat the George and she, Bert and the woofies (of course George's first mate Beaux) will sail along side the Black Furrball in their adventure!

So let's weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen!

Friends on Friday

Hi all! We're sorry to have been out of touch this week, but we've been laying low since we heard the news about Sprout. Mommy has been sick and we've all been leaky eyed. Then we had more bad news about Felix and Maxime. Well, it's clear that it's been a bad week.

So we've been lighting candles every night with Tesla - hoping that all our friends can see them up in heaven. And we'll be donning violet tomorrow, Mommy has ribbons for all of us and even George is going to wear a special bandanna.

We hope that all our friends are well, and we'll do our best to get back to blogg-ness as usual soon. Purrs and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to one and all.

Week of Words

We found a cool new toy! It's called Wordle and it makes this:

Click to Biggify - so you can really see it.

We're sorry that we haven't been around much this week - Mommy keeps staying at the work place too late to help us blog. Hopefully we'll be able to catch up over the weekend.

Happy Friday everykitty!

Well Trashed!

Well, it seems that we did a pretty okay job on trashing the house! This is what Mommy saw when she walked in the front door...

And here's what everyone did!

Gracie & Ping opened cabinets and pulled stuff out, then they went through the pantry on the way to the Laundry - you should see what they did in there - whew!

Merlin got started by chewing on cardboard boxes and any other cardboard he could find!

Shade put her weight behind and toppled a few things from the mantle while Goldie had a go at sharpening his claws on the ottoman.

The McKitten-Cats all made their presence know - Maggie made some fine toilet paper art. Jasper took over knocking over the bath room trash cans. Huggy clawed a couple chairs. And Josie, the good-girl served the snacks and nip!

Of course the dogs were up to no good!

Beaux and Samwise (the Purrageous Pups) helped George out with her toy basket as well as the kitchen trash! While Captain Jack and Fagin whapped things off of the window sills. We're not sure where Dante and Pearl snuck off to?!

Hendrix, Bendrix and Flyyn all worked over the carpets!

Tazo and Eric had a whack or two at the couches!

Samantha & Tigger lead a great game of Thundering herds of Elephants - it's safe to say that a few things were knocked over!

Faith Boo brought her extraordinary skills, the paper artist enjoyed the toilet paper, until she found the huge store paper towels in the pantry!

Magoo, Smudge, Bella & Dolce played a game of "Does it break or bounce?" with a couple of plants!

Some one (or two or three) was in the tent and the toy basket!

Speedy helped to shred the furniture, eat stuff out of the garbage and then he yak all over - it was great!

Jimmy Joe took care the couch, making it nice and white and orangey!

Queen Snickers brought the whole demolition crew, Empress and Renna the destructo doggy! But some how she disappeared when she saw Jake in all his destructive glory!

Fat Eric left floofy ginger and white fur all over everything then helped Chance out with pulling the blinds down!

Even Miss Peach was there to take out her frustrations!

"Really Mommy, I have no idea how things got like this!"

And look at all the crazy stuff Ayla did (wow is she amazing)!

"I unrolled the toilet paper and made sure ta perforate it as I did. I pulled the carpet up at one corner, an shredded some Kleenex in a difernt corner. I pushed dust-bunnies out from unner the bed and inta the middle of the livin room. "

"I carried little bits of cat food all over the house. I had GREAT fun pushin pens an paperclips unner the stove and frigerator."

"Did I mention that I teleported our dead mousie over an hid it inna closet? "

"You may notice that I petty much emptied yer litterbox stuff outta the box, that I knocked ofer the waterbowls, and shoved the candles to tha floor."

"An iffa ya see clawmarks on the curtains, that was me. "

"Not to mention the towels I pulled from the rack an pulled inta the toilet. AND flushed! Wow! "

The real question is who did this?!

Thank you to one an all for a thorough trashing - yet again the kitties of the blogosphere do not disappoint!

Friends on Friday!

Wow - we've got a lot of things to cover today, so many friends and things to talk about!

First of all we need to get our Jumps and Shouts in for Kimo & Sabi's contest!
So here's Pearl Jumping:

And here's Jake Shouting

Then, our friend JB gave us this cool award!

We'd like to pass it on to Tesla, our new friend Willie, our dear Miss Peach and Princess & Pierro.

And the other day, Jake's darling Queen Snickers sent him a super birthday present, which included the most amazing nip canes! Thank you so much my sweet!

And Momma Snickers added some cool scrapbooking paper and kitty stickers - Mommy is going to make a special birthday page for me!

Ages ago our Friend Miz Allie Cat tagged us for the Useful Meme, so here are seven ways we are useful:
1. We're excellent Alarm Clocks.
2. None of the furniture would be covered in cat hair without us!
3. Who else would eat all the stinky goodness?
4. We keep Mommy's feet warm in the big bed.
5. There would be all sorts of bugs in the house without us to hunt them.
6. Without us there wouldn't be anyone to suck up all the heat in front of the fireplace or heater vents.
7. If we weren't around Mommy and Daddy wouldn't get any kitty lovin' which is the best thing EVER!

We tag our sister George and any other kitties that would like to play!

And of course, and most importantly - today is Karl and Ruis' Wedding Day! Concatulations to them both!

Happy Friday to one and all!

Footie Friday

I do all sorts of things with my feet - they're one of my favorite things! I can walk on them, I can hunt mice with them, I can whap my brothers and sister with them and can grab hold of Mommy's fingers with them.

But none of those are the best thing to do with my feet, this is...

I love to put my feet in things! Especially things I want to eat - it's my way of making sure something is worth eating. Last night I decided to test out Mommy's pudding cup to see if it was worth eating, and it was! So I cleaned up my paw and then stuck my head in the cup (which Mommy was too slow to get a picture of, ha ha!) - and had some tapioca.

Now, I don't want you kitties to get in trouble, but try it if you can (it works for lots of stuff, not just pudding)!

Catching Up

The kitties said that we've been getting behind in a few things, so they said I could take care of the catching up (especially since I get to do a meme!)...

A while ago the very talented Diamond and her Bean made these really cool digital scrapbook pages for us:

Diamond's Bean is very good at the digital scrapbooking and has done many other kitties and woofies, we're so proud to be part of her amazing artwork!

Also, Criz was kind enough to make this badge for us, just for being worried and purring (well I woofed) for Mama Jessica! We were ever so worried for her (a family needs a Mama), but now she's back and everything is better.

And finally, the superest White Dawg around has tagged me for a meme, here are the rules:

1) Write your own six word memoir.
2) Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3) Link to the person that tagged you in your post, and to the original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere.
4) Tag at least five more blogs with links.
5) Don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play.
6) Have fun!!

Oh I'm so excited - I've never done a meme, I think - wait what's a meme? Oh right, focus - six words...

Terrier terror who loves her family!

I'd like to tag my friends Asta, Hershey & Kaci, Cami and her kitties, Diamond Dog and Diamond Emerald Eyes !

Friday Memes

We've been tagged for a couple of memes recently and we haven't gotten them done, so we're going to play catch-up today!

Bert's darling Tazo tagged us for the Make A Wish Meme a while back. Since we'd already done it, we decided to let Mommy and Daddy make a wish this time!

The Rules
1. Think about what it is that you want more than anything, what your heart's desire and fondest wish is, and what it is that you would wish for if you were to see the above wishing star flame across the night sky.

2. Right click and SAVE the blank graphic below.

3. Use a graphics program of your choice and place your wish on the picture.

4. Post the Make A Wish Meme and your wishing star on your blog along with these rules.

5. Tag as many people as you like so that there can be wishing stars all across the Blogosphere and ask them to please link back to Linda so that we can see what wishes others have made and share those wishes with others.

Then Vincent and Mike tagged us for the book meme!

Here's the rules:
Pick up the nearest book.
Open to page 123
Find the fifth sentence.
Post the next three sentences.
Tag five people and post a comment to Mickey once you have posted it.

So page 123 of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire:

"Fred, George and Ginny were nowhere to be seen, thought the path was packed with plenty of other people, all looking nervously over their shoulders toward the commotion of the campsite. A huddle of teenagers in pajamas was arguing vociferously a little along the path. When they saw Harry, Ron and Hermione, a girl with thick curly hair turned and said quickly, 'Ou est Madame Maxime?'"

We'd like to tag Dante & Capt. Jack, everyone over at Jan's Funny Farm, Queen Snickers & Empress (and Reena - but we're not sure if she's old enough to read yet), LC, Skeeter & Ayla, and Tesla for which ever ones they want to do (or haven't done)!

Have a super weekend kitties!
Pearl, Bert and Jake

P.S. Don't forget the Comentathon over at Grr, Midnight & Cocoa's on Sunday

Friends on Friday

I've been meaning to do this for a while, now - but Mommy kept forgetting, so finally I've for a moment to introduce you all to the original Princess Pearl! No, no, not me, there's another one - only she's a real princess - well she lives where there are real princesses!

Her full name is Princess Pearl C. Pritchard and she used to live in New York City - till, quite rudely, she and her brother were taken on a plane to England. Actually it worked out well, now she lives in the land of Princesses and has become one herself!

We have so much in common. She lives with a woofie, just like I do. She has a brother - I have two. And her woman grew up in Michigan, where we now live!

Please stop by and say hello to my counterpart across the pond!

Also, as we think about friends - please stop by and visit Smudge's family. Smudge lost his fight last night and they are so very sad. We know Smudge is in a better place - but they miss him terribly and need our purrs.
